OCBC Titanium Mastercard

Sunday, January 22, 2017

I am still keeping this OCBC Titanium Mastercard for future used.... haha... There are not much advantage anymore to user compared a few years back where we can get 5% rebate on transaction. But now OCBC Titanium Mastercard only give us 1% rebate on online transaction and overseas spend and 0.1% on all other retail spend. But no cap on rebates. That's it... No more...

And they will charge us 1.25% on the oversea transaction. But still cheap compare with Maybank 2 Cards which charge us 2.5%.

Maybank Treatpoints

Tuesday, October 18, 2016

Recently I went to Maybank Booth and redeem my treatpoints with fuel (Petronas) baucer.

40,000 points for RM100 fuel baucer.

Means that RM8,000 spend (AMEX) will get 40,000 points.

Total rewards RM100/RM8,000 = 1.25%

Is it good enough? I already make comparison with others CC and proved that it is one of best credit cards in market! Tell me if you have good one....

Wednesday, April 15, 2015

Starting 1st May 2015, Maybank treatpoints will increase from 250 points to 400 points to get RM1.

Due to that I had decided to let it go. 415k which is around RM1600++.

After 1st May 2015, my treatpoints value will be only RM1000++ which already lost RM600+ 😁

I went to the Maybank outlets in the gardens mall midvalley to get the voucher.

Superb conversion rate to Enrich Miles

Friday, January 31, 2014

Which credit cards offer a good conversion rate at this time?

Any better offer than Maybank 2 cards as this Amex offer convertion rate 2 Enrich Miles as:

Maybank treatpoints 7000 = 1000 points enrich.

To earn 7000 Maybank treatpoints you have to spend RM1400 with Amex card.

Meaning that RM1.40 per enrich miles. Very competitive offer products by Maybank.

If you have something better than this credit card, please share with us. People will benefit from your sharing.

MBB Amex Vs SCB Worldmiles Credit Card

Sunday, December 29, 2013

I have done comparison between MBB Amex and SCB Worldmiles based on enrich miles conversion.

MBB Amex
Spend RM1,400.00 x 5 points = 7,000 points = 1,000 enrich miles.

Means that RM1.40/enrich miles.

SCB Worldmiles
Spend RM3,000 = 1,000 points = 1,000 enrich miles

Means that RM3.00/enrich miles.

As we can see from comparison between these 2 cards, we can conclude that SCB Worldmiles is useless and not worth it to use. But I have to say thank you to SCB for giving us 25,000 miles AirAsia Big Points!

OCBC Titanium Credit Card

Sunday, December 1, 2013

Since a few years ago, OCBC Titanium is one of the best credit card in Malaysia which I known. I had applied before but OCBC rejected my application. I don't know what is the criteria setting to their clients as I am sure I am good in credit rating. No outstanding credit card balance, no outstanding payment on house loan or car loan!

As I asked OCBC, the criteria for them to approve OCBC Titanium credit card will not be revealed. Never mind, there are still a lot outside there. 😋

Unfortunately, recently OCBC announced that there will be no more 5% rebate on dining, petrol, utility bills, and groceries for OCBC Titanium credit card holder. No more rebate!!!!

But they give 1% rebate on retail spending with NO LiMIT! And there will be no more annual fee for OCBC Titanium credit card. Before this we have to swipe at least 12x to enjoy free annual fee.

This new revision will be effective beginning 29th Nov 2013!

What do you think? Maybe they will launch another good features credit card soon?

What is the benefits of using credit card?

Saturday, November 30, 2013

Is it more benefits or credit card will put you into trouble? If you say you can manage all your expenses and debts, no harm to use it and I think it would be better than paying by cash money! There are a lot of discussions on the pro and con using credit card.

Advantages
1) No need to bring cash money
2) Minimize risks - safety reasons
3) Buying through easy payment installments
4) Treatpoints can be redeemed
5) Cash back
6) Trace all expenses as credit card produce monthly statement
7) Insurance coverage with credit card purchasing
8) Retail protection
9) Some more discounts for certain things at shopping complex or outlets
10) Grace period meaning that there is time given to pay debt normally 20 days after purchasing - borrow for free
11) Emergency use and etc

And I think it will be saved money a lot!

Disadvantages

1) Debt traps
2) Hidden charges
3) High cost fee
4) GST tax for RM50/card
5) Overuse
6) Spending temptations
7) Credit card fraud
8) Interest rate
9) Annual fee

Bad management on the credit card will introduced bad credit. Meaning you have loan with a bank and accumulate the interest with high cost. 18% per year. There is no investment on earth something special rate such as credit card debts. I am sure bank will like you very much if you can pay on the minimum pay or 5% from total debts. This will end up you into big trouble and has potential on bankruptcy.

If you use a credit card responsibly, I believed it's much better paying off with credit card. You decide!
